I looked the bundle over but didnt see any rub spots. I noticed last night theres quite alot of under hood heat. like alot more than my 88 ever gets. you could feel the heat radiating about 3 feet away after driving for 20 minutes. Im wondering if theres like a relay or something under there thats getting hot?? idk ill have to get a manual for it tonite. bc its more like a pattern flash but the headlights are the only things affected no other lights alt is putting out steady. Got me baffled here. IF i can find my cable to my phone ill try try uploading some video of it doin this. Maybe it might give you guys a idea of what im seeing and tryin to explain

Heres a video i recorded tonite of the lights doin the flashing stuff

I cant hear any clicking goin on but then again its hard to hear anything with the engine running. Ive read that theres a big problem with the headlight switches being overloaded and popping a circuit breaker thats built in the headlight switch. Supposedly theres a fix by running a headlight relay kit that you can get from LMC trucks. Idk if I coulda overloaded it when i hooked up all the running lights? Im gonna go tryin to swap a new switch in and see if that helps. It could be the original has had enough with 200k iles on it.

I would try the headlight switch, it's a common problem on a lot of fords. It happened to my 67 mustang, and my 85 F-250. They get old and dusty and cant handle the load as well. The headlight relay is a worthwhile upgrade, it removes the load from the switch and puts it on the battery. I've heard nothing but good things about that mod.

OKay went out and took out the cheap china junk headlight switch out and put a motorcraft in and so far its been okay. drove it around for the last hour without any issues. I purposely ran alot of stuff to add a load to the system and see if it caused it. Im still plannin on adding the headlight relays. I think i maybe with all the extra running lights and stuff i added it may have been just enough with a bad switch to cause problems.
