Default Parking brake/dash problems

My '88's dash and parking brake seems to be loose; the dash seems okay normally, but when you apply the brake, the dash flexes down and half the time, the brake doesn't wanna catch on the first try.

It's not THAT loose; it just flexes down on the driver's side when you stomp the parking brake.

well can you see anywhere that the parking brake assembly is loose and it could just be wore out look at it while you apply it to see if anything is badly worn on it

well go to the junkyard and see if you can find one that fits and is in better shape and replace it or carry around a 4by4 block of wood for an emergency brake

I used to keep a piece of RR iron just for that purpose, in a previous truck.
