Well ..it seems my problem returned with the batteries. 2 Brand new batteries with fixed up + new cable and went to go start the truck this morning and it wouldnt even do anything when I turned the key.. I'm thinking there's still something leaking battery power like a short or something.. I took the stock radio out which I thought fixed the problem, but I guess that was only part of it.

Its a dually ..with the 2 lights on the bed on each side..all 4 are out..never has worked since I bought it, wondering if those are ran off a fuse or if there's a short in the wire on those? That's probably not my problem with the batteries but damn this is starting to **** me off. The shop I usually take my stuff to (if I have to) they want $50/hr to find the wiring issue.

To be honest I haven't even looked at that, I stopped smoking months ago.

I spotted 2 different wires in the engine bay on the passenger side that looked like they got hot and split into 2, I'm doubting that's my problem though, because everything still seems to function when I do get the truck running.

The problem I had with the stock radio was that when the truck was off and everything the radio kept displaying the digital time on the face of the radio..with the key out of the ignition. So I took the whole thing out which seemed to work for awhile..but like I said earlier went out there this morning and went to go turn it over ..completely dead besides the buzzer and seat belt light. Glow Plug light wouldn't come on though.

The wire to the radio..that's not still pulling juice is it? I figure it shouldn't be if the radio isn't hooked up to it?

Just got home and tried starting it..completely dead this time..nothing turned on. I checked the cigar lighter down by the ashtray and it was pushed in..had to pull it out with a pair of pliers. Took the main battery out and put it on a charger.

Would the cigar lighter being pushed in cause a dead battery?
