Default Fuel Filter Changes for dummies?

plan on changing my fuel filter this weekend and would like to know of anything that needs to be done other than filling full of fuel before install so I don't get any air. thanks

Thats about it. Lube the seal a bit as well, like you would an oil filter.

you can fill it with fuel, i always fill with either ATF or fuel additive. git the engine a big healthy dose.

Seriously???? why ATF... fuel additive maybe.... but ATF???? why would you do that?

atf has cleaning properties. but it also has some friction modifiers. i never had a problem with it. if i didnt have fuel additive, i would put some atf or used engine oil in the fuel tank. truck loved it.

Some people throw a bottle of ATF in the fuel tank now and then as well to help keep things clean.
