Ok I have read some of the things on here about the 7.3. I know a good little bit about the newer ones but not as much about the old idi non turbo ones. So who here knows all the specs and stuff like that. I am also looking to do some mods to it but nothing to big right now. I have a air intake I am working on designing that should help me out some but I was thinking about finding a turbo kit for it or finding a old one out the junk yard for one of these trucks and putting a new turbo to it. Who has what sit up and what works best for these trucks? Thanks

 

Ok well I was also thinking about putting a newer motor in it. Still a 7.3 but one out of a 02 or so. I do not know what all is different but it cant be much as far as a swap. I will do some more looking at it. Has anyone done that on here?

 

It's possible, but I have heard the wiring is a nightmare seeing how everything is computer controlled.
