Default E4OD controller

Does any one know if there is an upgraded/performance transmission controller for the E4OD in my '93 E350 7.3N/A? It seems to shift late sometimes, and kick down too early when climbing only a slight grade. Is the stock controller programmable? The trans has been replaced with a reman from Ford some time before I got the van. The van has 352K on it. Any other questions? Thank you for any help.-Cory

i doubt there is a controller but someone has to make or would make you a shift kit for it...it might just need a new valve body

I'm pretty sure that all the banks controller does is control lock up for an exhaust brake. I've driven a truck with one and didnt see much diffrence. The best fix for your problems is probably going to be a Valve body, You may also have some pre-existing transmission problems.
