Default Straight Pipe?

Are there any advantages of straight piping an IDI, other than egts? Will I get better mpg, acceleration or anything like that? Ive been thinkin about it because I love the sound.

As most free flowing exhausts, it will likely increase MPG... If you ignore the accelleration gains you get from it.

it doesnt do much of anything at all... only real difference i noticed was when i put a full 3" DP in it.... that flattened out pile of crap was a real restriction....

many have tested, and 3 inch is really the largest pipe the 6.9/7.3 idi's need. and larger is not needed, but does look better

a PSD doesnt need 5" but it doesnt hurt anything... my point it, it doesnt hurt if you want to fab a bigger system in there...
