Default Which IDI?

Im in the market for a ford idi diesel truck. Which should i get? Should i go with a 6.9 or a 7.3? I plan on putting a moose pump, moose injectors, lower compression pistons, turbo, head studs, 4" cherrybomb exhaust w/stacks, gauges, basiclly anything to do to get the most power out of one of these things. Which one would be best and does anyone know of one around the cincy/ northern kentucky area that is regular cab, man, and 4x4 for under 1400 dollars. thanks

the late model 6.9 is supposed to be stronger than the 7.3 but you really cant go too wrong with either.

get the 7.3 i love mine and nice idea with the turbo option, i put one on mine a while back mileage went a little south but the difference is worth it, but forget the cherry bomb straight all the way back the the bomb with screw the true sound of these motors, but if you start pushin to many horses and ft/ lbs. like i did with an auto, it with burn, mine did at least, it equaled out to mucho $ for a bullet proof tranny, deff get a stick, i love maken power with the old IDI and whoopin cummins strokers and duramaxs

Try to get the newer block with the 6.9 and 7.3 they had a problem of cracking around 4 and 6 cylinders. other then that my 6.9 and 7.3 fords get great mileage better then my parents 7.3 444E.
