Default Electrical issue

85 6.9l... Anyone good with IDI wiring? I have a wire on the passenger side fender (yellow) that splits into 2 wires and powers the fuse panel I believe. The wire burned up and I lost all lights on the truck except hazards. I thought it might be the grey connector, but that wasn't the problem. Everytime I try to fix it the wire glows red hot. Anyone ever have this problem?

That yellow wire should be for your glowplugs
