I gathering info and prices to build a motor as well. I am going with a cam and head studs from these guys. R&D IDI Performance
I will be using a moose pump and moose misters from these guys. Conestoga Diesel Injection
I will be sending my turbo off to a guy on OBN to have it rebuilt with an upgraded compressor wheel as well.
Due to prices I will be collecting the parts over the next year while building the motor since I have a spare.

headstuds hold the heads down on the block, because of the high compression ratios of these motors when you add boost the heads can lift off the block and wreck the gaskets. 12-15psi is reasonably safe before headstuds. and also try and get ported heads or port them yourself. and dont forget the pyrometer so you dont melt a piston down! another way to go is getting the marine DB4 injection pump and injectors, they supply a lot more fuel than the stock auto ones. hope it helps!

and if you wanna run more than about 25 30 psi your gonna wanna go with the cam from idiperformance.com. thats what im gonna be doing and i wanna eventually run about 45 psi on my 7.3. and for rollin coal in these old beasts just crank the injector pump a couple flats. but go for the pyrometer and a 3" or 4" exhaust and bigger air filter so you can keep track of your EGT's

LOL.... I have never seen an IDI running any where near 40 psi ..

Seriuosly .. 15 is getting up there ..

O-ring the head, cam from IDI, 625 studs ARP, Carillo rods, arp mains, arp rod bolts, etc.. Building an IDI to be able to with stand 40+ psi boost pressures .. Gonna be a tall order ..

PS.. I have a set of BB coded injectors and ported heads off my truck .. Pm if interested
