Do you think its even worth it to throw the 5 speed in there? I was just thinking it would be a lot easier on the engine at highway speeds.

no ... these Engines were started off in the UPS trucks ... spec'd to run @ 2500 rpm all day ..

So .. that being said ... i can get mine to muster 18-20 mpg on a long run ... 3.55's, 35's, and she weighs 7K ... now i have all terrains , and ported heads ... hope for 22 on a long run ... will see

Yup .... Drain and re gasket .... Use some hi TAC gasket sealant .... Make sure its all oil free .... Should never leak again .... I also did my 205 T case and my sm465 4 spd in my chev .... Still leak free 10 years later .... Running Redline Synthetic manual trans fluid ... Shifts awesome even when cold ...

Awesome. I might as well do it all while I have it off. The transfer definitely has a baby leak in it so thats perfect. Thank you!

Yeah .... Most auto parts stores will be able to get a gasket kit for a T19 ... May need serial numbers ... Dunno where they would be but there some where ...

Awesome thanks! I misread the earlier comment where you said hi tac gasket sealant. I thought you said liquid gasket.
