Do you think its even worth it to throw the 5 speed in there? I was just thinking it would be a lot easier on the engine at highway speeds.

no ... these Engines were started off in the UPS trucks ... spec'd to run @ 2500 rpm all day ..

So .. that being said ... i can get mine to muster 18-20 mpg on a long run ... 3.55's, 35's, and she weighs 7K ... now i have all terrains , and ported heads ... hope for 22 on a long run ... will see

Damn then Ill just save myself the money and not buy a junker one. You say its pretty easy to regasket the t-19?

Yup .... Drain and re gasket .... Use some hi TAC gasket sealant .... Make sure its all oil free .... Should never leak again .... I also did my 205 T case and my sm465 4 spd in my chev .... Still leak free 10 years later .... Running Redline Synthetic manual trans fluid ... Shifts awesome even when cold ...

Awesome. I might as well do it all while I have it off. The transfer definitely has a baby leak in it so thats perfect. Thank you!

there both pretty straigh forward to seal up .... even I can do it and not mess up ..LOL

Yeah .... Most auto parts stores will be able to get a gasket kit for a T19 ... May need serial numbers ... Dunno where they would be but there some where ...

Awesome thanks! I misread the earlier comment where you said hi tac gasket sealant. I thought you said liquid gasket.
