Starter Won't Work When Cold

Sweet I'll try it for sure. I was thinking maybe its a connection issue. Maybe the oil is getting thick when its cold and causing too much resistance. Then when its warm it drips off or get thin enough to let some voltage through.

Just as easily be a faulty connection as something else which is the problem haha

could just have bad brushes inside due to oil .... and i would check and or replace the cables and of course the valve cover gaskets asap ... take er to a car wash and power wash the junk off while its running ... don't shut it down ..LOL... learned that the hard way

I would buy some s1000, it's a all purpose motorcycle cleaner. Cleans the crap out of oily and greasy stuff. Spray it on a cold engine, let it sit for a few minutes and hose it off. Works awesome on my Harley. Tried it on my riding mower, awesome. Looked brand new. Safe for painted surfaces too, does leave a slight haze one Crome and paint but wipes off. I just went through some IP issues and I wouldn't spray a hot IP with cold water.
