I was thinking of deleting ya lift pump and going to a frame mounted electric pump. I picked one up at napa that's rated for 4-8 psi. But I did get to tweak the timing this morning and got the alignment mark so that the right edge of the pumps mark is touching the left side of the housings mark. Couldn't get it to go any farther.

I run both an electric inline pump and my mechanical

I wouldn't crank on it to hard, run the risk of loosening one of the fuel lines on the pump outlet, then you'll have to remove the pump to tighten them all back up, doesn't take very long, just gotta find the sweet spot for timing again.

Well she seems to be running pretty darn good now. My deceleration problem seems to have subsided. This pump definitely has more poop to it. And she blowing a little smoke now. I'm guessing that they come a bit turned up compared to my last one. This came off an auto and my old one barely put a puff out when I lugged it in second.

I did forget to mention when I pulled the old IP off none of the 12 point bolts inside were there. Whoever swapped the old pump in didn't put them bolts in. Curious what conditions this would've caused.
