at 3 psi, it should be hard to get it to idle, not enough fuel being supplied to the pump is what I'm thinking I run my electric pump in line while keeping my mechanical pump and it supplies plenty of fuel, the electric pump is great for priming the system while the glow plugs are warming up.

fuel filter is under the hood and i'm gonna try bleeding the injectors. i just replaced the lift pump and everybody i talked to said you'll never get a good reading on what the lift pump is pushing until its no longer airbound

i cracked all the injectors but the front and back 2 on the passenger side and cranked it over 3 times at 20 seconds each with breaks in between to not burn up the starter. no fuel from any can i do it this way or do i have to do one at a time? and im waiting for the baterys to charge up again can i leave the injectors lose while im waiting

i can't get fuel at the schrader valve only air i fixed 7 foot of steel line with rubber i got half a tank so even if the pick up peace is broken in the tank it should still push fuel from the new lift pump i put in the truck i bouble clamped the line to make sure its not sucking air.... i'm almost done and going back to gas engines this truck nothing but a nightmare

If u have rusted line its best to replace all of it . I have single clamps. On my lines no leaks but u can over tighten them causing problems if you are getting air at the filter it has to be coming from before that a good way to check is clear line I also know return lines can cause air to the filter have u checked for cracks?

i think i got it now i blew the line i replaced back to the tank then sucked fuel through it (diesel tastes nasty) then cranked it for 10 seconds and got fuel to come out of the schrader valve... i then cracked 6 of the injectors 1 by 1 till fuel dribbled out batterys went weak so im waiting for a good charge then it should starti'm not gonna play around though so i'm gonna do the other 2 injectors before i try starting it thanks alot guys sorry for being a downer this is just my first diesel and i hardly know anything about them
