Good info! I had a 6.9 with a banks kit. But sold it in favor of a Cummins.

That's a shame, but both of those are amazing trucks. How did you like the old 6.9?

I liked it a lot and with the banks kit it had awesome power. But it drank fuel and the cavitation issue scared me. A year after I sold it it developed the cavitation issue. It barely had 100000 miles on it and was super straight. This was back about 2001...

I've had mine for just under a year, and she running strong. If I run into cavitation, I'm going to have the motor steel sleeved and built from top to bottom
