Default IP not filling with fuel after pump adjustment

I did what I probably shouldn't have after getting it fixed, but I adjusted the pump one flat and now it won't fire back up! Re-opened the passenger side of the pump where the adjustment screw is and no fuel leaks out at all. Double checked and made sure I didn't turn it the wrong way! I know I'm a dumbass for doing it ( should have just enjoyed the fact she was running again.) any idea on what could be going on?

Once you remove the side plate, it empties all of the fuel out of the pump, which means it has to be refilled from cranking, and you're going to have air in the lines, so crack the right bank a few, close them off then crack the left till fuel comes out and close off.

empty your fuel filter and fill it with atf .. its thicker and will lube pump .. helps to draw fuel through the IP .... and while cranking ... foot to floor will help a bit also ..

Do I start at the rear and work my way forward on the lines? And there's no torque specifications when retightening the lines is there?

So cracked the lines and waited till fuel came out, do you have to do it a couple times?

sometimes... and yes about 25 lb ft is all thats needed

So just cracked the two bolts on the side of pump just enough to notice that the pump is filled with fuel! And the filter is also filled with fuel! Now how much fuel should i be seeing coming from the hard connection on the injectors? Im getting a little and some air bubbles

keep bleeding the air until no more bubbles come out

What I have found that works quite well of me is remove the return line to the top of the pump and it will fire up pretty fast. I did this by accident the other night while turning mine up I broke the line off but decided to leave it off and see how it helped on start up and it helped a lot. It literally fired right up no surging or coughing and its a lot easier on the starter too.
