Timing
#2
1st .. there all the same ... as far as the settings go .. the best way to explain it .....
Pull the oval shaped cover off rotate engine so u know which direction to go ... if you want advanced timing loosen the 3 allen bolts and rotate slightly ( a little bit goes a long way ), I did mine by SOP( seat of pants ) and she is a screamer ...
retarding just spin it the oppisite direction ....
I beleive the pump turns clock wise on the gear and so to advance you would loosen and spin the crank counter clock wise if i rember correctly - you will want to double check that .... been about 5 yrs since I re did mine ... might fiddle with it after the HG's are done ... go the drivers side head on today ... take your time and make a mark with a small chizel to mark where you started as you will want a point of refrence... just in case..... good luck and keep us posted
