1994 7.3 idi turbo worth it?
#11
Are we really comparing a 12 valve to any idi or powerstroke?
thats a no brainer. the idi is a reliable motor, but isnt as reliable as a 12v. the powerstroke can make power, but it costs a lot of money to make, and they arent anywhere near as simple to work on compared to a 12v.
I could be wrong, but I thought they stopped the idi 7.3 engine in 1992?

they stopped putting the IDI's in halfway through 94, when they went to the powerstroke, me, i personally like the idi better, i drive one daily, ive driven powerstrokes, but my trusty old work horse is my baby, i love how it drives. only 190k on it. still running strong as ever. considering the age, i can almost garuntee my next truck wont be an IDI . it will by default be a powerstroke, or possible duramax. havnt looked into a new truck yet, considering mine has a lot of life left (:
