Default Where is the glow plug controller located at??

I have a 1990 F450 7.3 and would like to know where the glow plug controller is located at on this vehicle?? And what would cause my wait to start light to only stay on for 1/2 second??

I believe the glow plug controller on that engine is in the center of the valley on the back of the engine. round thing sticking up with a big plug on the top of it. about where the distributor would be located on a small block chevy. And yes, a bad controller would cause the wait to start light to go off early, if it isnt letting the glow plugs cycle right.

Mine is a 92 F350 7.3 and the controller is located just above the valve cover on the left bank if looking from head on.
