Do you have a water fuel separator? I'm not really familiar with 7.3 but if a 6.9 has water in the fuel your in a world of hurt

I have a 92 7.3 and currently experiencing the same symptoms. Here's where I am with it..
changed fuel filter.... no luck
changed mech lift pump ... no luck
checked fuel psi... about 4 to 5 psi....
changed return lines on injectors as well as O rings..... no luck

currently dropping the tank, draining, inspecting... and breaking down the fuel lines supply and return, and blowing them out with 90 PSI.. I'm breaking the lines down at each junction individually hoping to find some "culprit" of some kind.

I'll keep ya posted once I get her back together. That should be today with some luck.

Does it die right when you put it into gear or after you have traveled awhile? does it spit and sputter or just shut off all the sudden?

ok...... success for me.
see above post of mine...
but this worked for me.
I dropped both tanks... cleaned them... took supply and return lines apart at each junction and blew them clean with 100 psi.
put everything back together and have driven truck 2 days now with no issues.
everything was easy work.. just time consuming.
