Hi everyone, I recently purchased a 93 F350 with the 7.3 Turbo IDI and a 5-speed transmission. It has several problems, but this is the first diesel I have ever owned, so i figured I would ask your opinions on where to purchase the best parts and matbe some solutions to my problems. First, the cooling system builds too much pressure, and starts blowing air out the radiator and overflow tank, indicating one of the head gaskets are blown. What brand should I purchase and what other upgrades would you folks recommend doing while I'm in there? Second, at the top of the fuel filter housing there are two single pin plugs, and the bigger one toward the passenger side is slowly sputtering air/fuel. Is there a simple solution, or does the entire housing need to be replaced? And last, here in Houston it doesn't get too cold often, but when it is under 50 degrees it takes a while to build oil pressure and the engine knocks horribly. Is there a good additive that you guys could recommend me to solve that problem? Thanks in advance guys, any help or comment is appreciated.
