ford-ifs...changing u-joints
have a 93 ford-f 250...ifs, 4x4...need to re-place front u-joints.Any tricks or things we have to watch for replacement????

When pressing or banging ot the old joints, be weary of the ears bending on the axle. Maybe try to get piece of stock to stick inbetween the ears.
Happened on my 150 and my 350 axle shafts. Driveshafts have never given me a problem.

To get the inner axle shaft out, yes, you have to since there is a clip holding it in.
I would ditch that whole IFS and put a Dana 60 in. It'll ride better, handle better, be stronger, and save you wear on your tires, ball joints, and u-joints.
