Default 7.3 Engine Problems

My F350 will idle but after about a minute it starts rough idling and spitting whitish grey smoke and shut down. I've put a new fuel system in it except glow plugs and injectors. What could be causing this problem?

Can you elaborate on "new fuel system?"

Did you have this problem before you put in the new fuel system? What caused you to replace those listed items? This whitish gray smoke isnt steam, is it? Any sweet coolant smell in the smoke?

Ya it was, The reason I changed those is because I had talked to 2 diesel mechanics and they said it was injectors or sucking air. A headgasket had crossed my mind also. Guys I greatly appreciate it.
