I have a weird problem. I have a 1990 IDI, and every time I shift from drive to reverse when I am parking the truck, the ABS light comes on and the power windows will not roll up. I can turn the truck off, and then switch back on, and the lights are fine and the ABS light is off. I have seen things on the forums about just the light, but haven't seen anyone else have this weird combo. The issue is not really causing any problems right now, but I am afraid it may get worse and leave me stranded somewhere. Has anyone else experienced this?

 

Electrical gremlins can be a hard thing to track and they can leave you angry and banging your head against a wall. It seems that every time you have this problem is when you shift from drive to reverse, so I would start by checking down in the column for a broken or chaffed wires in the ignition harness, which is not an uncommon issue.
