Default My first Questions about my Cummins

I just purchased my first Diesel anything except for tractors and i bought me a 95 Dodge 3500 standard cab dueley with 94K 1 owner miles on it that is in fabulous condition except for the original paint is peeling. The 12 valve is completely bone stock and has never been touched by anyone except Dodge, from what i have read here i need to do several things to make sure this thing lives a long healthy life. First, put a Airdog fuel filter, lift pump on it to get cleaner fuel to the injector and separate the water. Which pump filter system should i look at for my stock truck and where to purchase? Second is do a killer dowel pin repair under the timing cover. Any other recommendations of Must Do's?
My plan is to use this truck in mostly stock form for pulling my open car trailer and just as a general work truck around the house and property. Thanks Darryl

for the pump-filteration system ... go to price quote section under armory, and post what your looking for... all the vendors on here will message you with the best prices they can give u on airdog, fass etc. on a personal level, i like FASS..great customer service and also top notch product! but alot of people love Airdog as well.. preference is in your hands bud. if your not intending on BIG power a FASS 95 pump with filtration system would work great for you. I would look at opening up the air intake.. maybe a BHAF, or an air intake from S&B etc.. your choice, and also open up the exhaust.. flo pro, diamond eye MBRP all make great 4inch systems with or without mufflers, your preference again. thats a good start from my point on view to help this engine out. it sounds like you got a damn good truck!!! hope this helps bud. message me if you have any other questions. AND, welcome to diesel bombers!!! this site is really helpful! theres also a facebook page for diesel bombers as well as Cummins Freakz on Facebook too.. join these pages for more help, stuff for sale etc.

Thanks for the suggestions on the truck, a air intake filter setup will be in the first batch of parts. As for the exhaust, i think that will wait a while considering a paint booth in the near future will be on the table, i will try the venders on here and see what happens.
Thanks
