FUEL FILTER

FYI:
5,000 km is really a waste of money on the new trucks. If you consider the crank case doesn't bleed to the atmosphere anymore and there are other enviro controls as well. The book should indicate more distance for an oil change and it is the interval I use for FF changes.
Then of course if one uses lots of conditioner and fully synthetic oils you are probably better still. Just my 2 cents.

I dont disagree, but my truck would definatley be considered 'high service'...it takes a beating every day, and lots of idleing, then race to next site, so I figure for the extra price of oil changes, good preventative maintenance. I cant afford to be without it for very long if something goes south...

Thanks, but I didnt want to hear that....I just ordered a 6.7!
Be carefull with the excessive Idleing. Be sure to engage the High Idle so it will rev up to 1100 RPM and have a better fuel burn. Lots of regular Idle means lots of emmision problems down the road. Ex.....DPF Sevice

Yep, we were having issues with the company trucks (Duramax, Ford, & Dodge) because they would site out on oil/gas wells and idle for days at a time. Engine would start loading up and the smoke would start pouring out. We have then idle it up for 30 minutes every 4 hours and it seems to have cured the issue.

I will let ya know if it works...we have installed one only so far, and no codes, no regen, no messing with the ECM. Everything I have heard to date is that the ECM still thinks it is there and it will go into limp mode. What we have done seems to be fooling the ECM to a point where regen is not initiated. No signal for regen, no limp mode. This is all trial and error and we have a willing donor truck right now...If it works we will take over all of the DPF delete market....1/4 of the price of anything I have seen offered so far and the Cat and DPF can be reinstalled if needed.
