I watch my FP, when it gets lower I change it, or every 15k if you get clean fuel, if you are not sure on the fuel go 10k. I went 12k once and had it plug comletely before I had a FP gauge. Now I watch it before I change it. I know some that have went 40k+ on a fuel filter also.

I changed mine at 15000 miles. My buddy has a 5.9 and changes his every 10-15 thousand and his are pretty dirty. Mine wasn't that bad. 5.9 is easier to change though.

I put on lots of miles and buy all my fuel from a cardlock, so I change mine every 5000km when I change oil....

$19 worth of insurance is a very small price to pay!!

That's cool changing it every 5 k but I have to pull the front driver tire and remove the inner fender well cover to have access to Filter. But I guess it is worth the preventative maintance considering the alternative.
