ok same truck. mega cab 4x4 dually with auto trans 1 truck is a 07 with the 6.7L in it and the other is a 06 with the 5.9L in it. which would you buy and why? and does anyone know the stock HP and TQ numbers on both trucks??

 

I would get the 06 5.9 because they had a few problems with the 07 6.7, as far as stock power numbers I believe that the 06 5.9 is 325/610 and the 07 6.7 is 350/650.

 

I would stick with the 5.9 myself as well. They are getting around the emissions but it is not cheap.

 

These numbers are correct. But as was said, I would go with the 5.9 also.

stick with the 5.9, easier to work on and no emissions crap....

 

yea i agree with everyone here about the 5.9 but the 07 6.7 so far is a sweet deal it is a left over i found on a lot. the window sticker is $52,000.00 and just over the phone he said he can unload it for $39,000.00. and i dident even start to knock him down on the price cause when he said 39,000 i said yea that is still too much for me and his words were come on in we want this off our lot it has been here long enuff...and i also found a sweet 06 same as the 07 even the same color but the 06 has a 5.9 with 16,000 miles and they are asking $37,500.00........

 

So you are saying that the 6.7 is brand new? If that is the case make sure that all flashes and TSB's have been done. Is it a early 07 or a later year 07? The early one's had the most problems iirc. If they went down to $39k over the phone I bet you could get it for around $35 out the door, or maybe even less.

 

yes the 2007 6.7 is brand new. and i do not know the build date i have not gone out to look at it yet.

 

i have a 6.7L and i kick my self in the a$$ for not getting a 5.9L. The 6.7L is to smart for its own good.
