Default DRW vs. 4x4

OK guys and gals, even though this has surely been discussed here before, I have a question. My boss is claiming that his DRW can out pull my 4x4. We aren't kids but rather educated adults ages 47 (me) and 62. I'm looking for factual information and maybe a lesson in Dodge diesel evolution.

My truck: 99 Dodge 4x4 2500 short bed quad cab 5.9 with Banks 4" exhaust only (not turbo), aftermarket lift pump, new VP44, unknown injectors, Edge juice w/attitude, newly rebuilt auto trany, open rear end, 285x75 A/T (pretty agressive for A/Ts), and K&N.

His truck: 07 Dodge DRW 2WD 3500 6.7 mega cab, stock with all the factory options and street tread.

The idea is to hook them up from the receiver hitches on a level swept concrete pad. My hitch sits about 6" higher than his. Let's hear all the opinions and most of all facts about who would "win" a pull-off. If there's a video, that would be great.

i would probaly have to say the 4x4 but it will probaly come down to driver skill. its hard to say what will happen till you actually do it

i think there is a video of a half ton 4x4 avalanche pulling a rwd dually down the road. 4x4 is the keeper on this one in my opinion. If you do it just make sure you both know when to quit so you dont wreck anything you will be good to go.

He's already light in the rear because he's a truck. The fact your hitch is 6" higher than his will take even more weight off his wheels when the strap tightens, while increasing the load on your rears. If you use a fairly short strap, I'd be almost willing to bet you could pull him in 2wd... if you had a locking differential. Does he have the anti-slip rear diff? Either way, I'd have to say you've got him with your 4wd.

When it comes to something like this traction has a lot to do with it!

4x4 all the way. his rear end is so light it will just spin. My dually gets stuck in my lawn in 2wd. I put it in 4wd, its go time. Your lift is also in your favor, like previously mentioned. Your pull points should be a the same hight to keep it fair, but what he don't know......
