ok guys will this tranny work to swap in to my first gen? I know that if i stuck with the stock dodge manuals i can make them fit i just am not sure on if this one would be a easy fit.

Did you get this transmission? If so did it work in your truck? I just lost 6th gear in my NV5600 and I was thinking about going with another transmission because I can't afford to replace the transmission with another NV56? I have a 03 RAM 3500 DRW 2WD 6speed I use it to haul a 3 car wedge?

 

Depends on how much work you want to put into it and how good you are at fabrication. I think the limiting factor would be the diameter of the pilot unless you can bore out the end of the crank shaft. Otherwise, it's adapter city.
