royal purple is good stuff i wonder if its the synthetic smell in the rotella that is making the smell i no redline makes good oil ran in my quad and it seemed like it had more power royal purple is dyno proven to had hp all dodge calls for in the cummins is rotella so whats dodge's issue i wonder if u got that fs2500 bypass filter if it would go away... My truck is bone stock too just don't seem right

 

The 04s had a small 'jug' that the blow by tube ran into...the dealer would always empty this bottle but an oil change place wouldnt...When the bottle is full it will overflow and then hit your manifold giveing you the 'burnt oil' smell....

See if you can see if you have one, and if its full....

 

just buy good oil and you shouldnt have that oil smell

 

wuts good oil then really i mean a semi runs rotella all day long i don't see them changing there **** at 3000 miles went u can run it for aleast 6500k aint going to tell me rotella is cheap oil or aint good really why does dodge call for it in the cummins im shure they don't know what is going on and if rotella was junk then they prolly wouldn't be in bussiness its seems to me no one even knows wut the fleet gaurd filter deal is on the vavle cover and there are 2 hoses that run into a small jug prolly wuts up with it prolly needs drained but the hoses don't run on the exhaust manifold side its on the intake side

 

then i guess you aint seen a reall truckin buisness then aye but what can i say my best bud only works at an asphalt plant as a mechanic 5 days a week and is in an advanced diesel mechanics class
