anybody hear of conklin? I don't have a problem if I have it in when it is going to get cold, ie 5 deg and less. but it is expensive, and most of the time, here it doesn't get that cold regularly. I buy it in a case of single dose bottles, because over dosing it doesn't make it work better. It just costs more money.
From what I have learned in the last couple of winters, is that typically it becomes more of an ice issue than a true gel issue. USLD has water in it, and then the water turns to ice, and the ice in turn plugs your filters. PITA. The conklin keeps the ice suspended, and if you have a heater in your fuel system, you will melt the ice as it accumulates so it does not cause issues.

I used to have a standyne part # for a 100W heater that will screw into your airdog. but don't know where it has gotten off to.

Howes. The 911 is, like the name suggests, for emergencies only. That stuff will kill your pumps and injectors quick if you run it too much - too much being anything more than the very rare emergency.

The Co-Op here uses this stuff. I've never had a problem and only add the same stuff if I'm away from home and buy fuel.

Sorry, I did not mean to say add 911 diesel every fill up that was a typo I did not catch. But I restrain from using howes where I live due to the fact it gets extremely cold where I live and I still had gelling issues. but That was -30
