Default Stupid question........

I have a 1st gen 12v, i want to build this truck for some decent power and a buddy of mine that has a '01 24v, and idk whether he was yankin my chain, but he told me to put a 24v head on the 12v block. is that even a possibility? without sounding too dumb i was jsut curious if anybody has heard anything like that before. thanks for any help

wow.. does everything bolt up the same in terms of bolting the head to the block? im sure it lets the engine breathe better being a 24v as opposed to a 12v.. but what other advantages are there to this setup?

That is the advantage getting more air in and more exhaust out.

Thats it.... and it seems that i have heard somewhere that someone actually measured the difference of the amount of air moved between the 2 different heads and it wasn';t really all that much.... maybe i am wrong though..

for the money you will spend build your 12V head. port polish fire ring ect. you will gain -some- flow but for the money its just about a waste. new injector lines ect ect. dont do it unless you wanna brag about having a 24v head. PORT YOURS way better mod
