I like them flipped in I prefer the wider view and less chance of having someone smack into them. Only time I flip them out are when I am hooked up to the 5th wheel. Much better flipped in when towing smaller trailers IMHO.
Mine are electric so easy to adjust back and forth.

Always down till i hook up the trailer........and they are pretty expensive
to replace!!!!!

When I put my new elec one in they will most likely be up... It looks better that way to me

Personaly, I only run the mirrors in the extended position when towing my enclosed car hauler, which seems to help out a lot. But I definitely think they should normally be down.

Well After Having them on for a while I just have them down. Better view in the city and less chance of getting smacked.

Down unless Im pulling in the 6.7. Down all the time in the 24v.

Got real close several times to taking a mirror off. After a few times of that I started flipping them down plus I got the power ones too.
