por-15 vs chassis saver

Rust showing through after only a year? Exactly. If this stuff is supposed to be so great at stopping rust how come we both had rust come through after only a year. And now you have to go through alot of prep and pray that a topcoat will adhere. Regular rustoleum with their red primer over prepped rust on my other frame and no rust in six years with it sitting in the grass. I think most of the people that use this stuff must keep their vehicles in a garage or something. It's great for vehicles that don't see the abuse you get in the real world.

i have used por-15 on my truck frame and i has been in my garage for the last year and it has rusted through but has not peeled yet. i spent 8 hours cleaning the frame and followed the instructions to the letter and still rust. i have a friend a work who did the same thing to his ranger and it is peeling off of his frame so i would try one of the other products honestly but its your choice god luck

i used chassis saver on the frame of my super duty. i wire wheeld and brushed, cleaned with break free and it still looks good after 2 winters. I also have it on the frame and under all the sheet metal of my 78 for about 4 years but its a fair weather truck. i have never used por 15, but will continue using chassis saver.

i would like to thank you for the responses to my por-15 = chassis saver . it about a 50/50 por-15 is about 140.00 gallon chassis saver is 84.00 a gallon both seen to do the same . it is all about the prep work . the better it is prepped ,the longer it should last . thanks for your input on this .

the best solution might to have the frame tank dipped then galvanized $$$$$
