Default ISC Info

WHat I am trying to find out is for 2 purposes;
the first is if an ISC High pressure fuel pump (cp3?) is capable of being run electronically by my '03's computer? does it work on the same principles as my CP3(I/E does it use an FCA to control fuel pressure)? Are there any other sensors physically mounted to it? Also how do the timing case mounts/ input shaft size compare to my 5.9 CP3?
The reason is I need more fuel and want to try something different than a modded pump. and IF I still need more I will just have the ISC pump modded and be done with it! I refuse to run dual CP3's or spend the $4K that II wants for their Grand Poobah CP3 (which by the way is not off a 5.9)

The second reason is that if/when my 5.9 decides to die I want to install an ISC and run it with the 5.9's electronics/ sensors(this way I can keep my electronic fueling enhancements). The computer doesn't care what engine it is controlling as long as it is getting all its sensor inputs, right?

I don't have a Cummins dealer locally or I would ask the see the pumps from both engines side by side for comparison, that is why I am asking for help. And I also don't know where to start looking to find all the info I need.

I was under the influence that the "grand poohbah" was off of an ISC. But the question I have is, what's wrong with a modded pump? I mean, by the time you get done putting an isc pump on it would have been cheaper to just get a modded one or mod your own. http://relentlessdiesel.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19

I don't know what engine it is off of but I have heard that it is not from north american engine. I have already done the relentless mod and it is not enough
I have no problem with a modded pump but a stock pump off a bigger engine that flows the same as the modded pump off my engine will be more reliable IMHO.
I am just trying to find out some info to see if it is even feasible.

I don't see why it would be any less reliable. I know I haven't heard of reliability issues with the modded pumps. I know I'd rather be setup to run any ol regular CP3 than be tied down to running an "exotic" pump. Most dodge dealers will have one in stock, if heaven forbid, you lose yours.

It IS less reliable, you are running it at a level higher than it was designed.
and what is exotic about a pump off an ISC that I can buy at any Cummins or big rig shop? I WILL NOT buy a pump from the dealer!
