It's rare that the 3Cyl idle even kicks on in my truck here in Illinois. It has to be really cold, usually a few times a year. But the high idle kicks in all the time.

How far south are ya Uncle bubba?
I don't mind the high idle myself but the 3 banger you know it's cold

I wanna hear the 3 cylinder idle. Can somebody please record it for me? Nevermind, thanks to youtube I found it. Sure sounds funny

Right in the middle of the state in the Springfield area. About 3.5 hours from the Wisconsin border.

Not exactly, mine did it last winter when it was around 15F, and I have an 05. Just happened to be one time that I forgot to plug her in that night.

I hate to plug the truck in cause if I do the high idle won't kick in and it takes forever for the truck to warm up.

It is even wilder if it is your truck and you have never heard it. It scared the crap out of me while I was in the house. I didn't know if somebody was stealing it or it was blowing up.

wonder what it sounds like on a 3rd gen. the youtube was a 2nd gen. Maybe I need to find a freezer and drive the old man's truck into it and let it sit.
