Fill out your signature so we can see what you have for a truck and what you have already done with it. This helps us be able to answer your questions better.

Keep the stock air box, less air equals more smoke with less fuel. All smoke means, is that you have more fuel then you have air to burn.

BUT... It can also mean dangerously high EGT as a result - this is BAD news for stock turbo, manifold and so on.

Ya I'm tryin to be nice here and not point out the downsides myself. I'm not a smoke fan. Smoke on demand can be fun, smoke all the time is a waste of fuel and bad for the future of diesel engines in the long run.

For sure. I wasn't trying to be negative either. It is just that some guys don't really know what they want and when you tell them that it does X instead or in addition to Y they learn something.

Smoke on demand is cool, but....

Unplug the MAP sensor...all the smoke you will want, may throw a code and I dont recommend it.

That being said, I would like a 600 hp truck with NO smoke. Just pure power. Smoke draws attention to yourself and its the reason the Government is heavily cracking down on the diesel performance industry.
