Default are the early 6.7s junk?

i am sure this has been beat like a dead horse but should i be afraid of a 07.5 or 08 6.7 cummins? are they problem prone trucks or should i stay 06 07 5.9..?

6.7L are a lot of work to get them to where you'd want to be. The 5.9L are pretty much bullet proof stock was low smog control. Exhaust, intake and tuner go a long way with making some easy power.

once you delete the junk they are good trucks.

biggest problem I have seen with the early 6.7 is the turbos sooting up. basicly you drill a hole in the turbo housing and clean out the soot and all is good again.

when you say delete the junk what do you mean? the dpf is already deleted what else is there?

what does that usually cost? and do the 6.7s have any other issues that comeup later in life? is FP as critical as the 24v? sorry for the newbie question but i know nothing about the 6.7s. i want 500hp daily driver.
