Wouldnt a 12v be louder because it has bigger valves?

My thought is, love the sound of a 12v cant beat them! 24v sounds do-able (even tho i own one haha) and my cousin own a 06' 24vCR Sounds good! got a real good DEEP rumble to!!

From having my 24 beside a buddies 12, they sounded very similar at lower rpms. The higher you go the 24 is louder but not as deep but the turbo really does sing more.

That's my truck and his truck though. Mine is stock 3" straight pipe with a 12"x4" tip and his is a straight 4". I was expecting there to be a noticeable difference in tone between the two idling and rumble but there isn't much at all at low rpms, just at higher.

But like I said that's my truck and his truck, not everyones.

As for the comment of comparing it to a log truck sometimes, my 24 sounds like that going up hills. I love it, the neighbors...not so much.

Fo shooooow the 12 valve is much better sound and deeper sound like everybody says but remember we also are running 17.5 to 1 compression pistons that makes a great differance but the 24 valve is a bad Azz engine. but sorry for the slow 2011 duramax's that got beat down by the 1998 2500 cummins 12 valve.
