Propane will get you better mileage around 10- 20%- maybe more with your lift and tires. I use mine for mileage and power. I use a hobbs switch set at 1 lb boost - so that at idle and downhill the propane doesn't flow- and my kit is variable and flows more the more you are boosting. On the top end of boost - over 35lbs - I am getting just short of a 100 hp's. My egt's are only 40 degrees hotter and if the egt's get too high -towing long mountain grade - the edge juice can be turned down or you can set your max egt's you are comfortable with and the fuel will be backed off. All is well and propane is the second best mileage booster there is. Number one? The matter between your ears driving smartly. Whatever is fun driving - don't do. Whatever makes your female copilot mad - don't do. But we all can mod our trucks - have fun when wanted - but when need better mileage on a trip - we can do that too. BTW - you can make your own propane kit for 300-4-- dollars that is as good (or better) than bought kits.

i have never heard of the 2 cycle oil trick... i take it your actually dumping it into the fuel tank??? and could someone enlighten me about what it actually does that benefits the fuel milage... does it make it smoke more??? does it reduce power any??? and finally does anyone know if this affects the fuel system i.e. injection pump, injectors etc. or does it actually act as a cleaning mechanism and is that how it helps mpg??? im very interested as you can probably tell...

look in the fuel addatives threads there is a couple disscussions on the 2stroke oil
alot off ppl just do it to lubricate the pump,
i dont think helps milage much myself mabey a half mpg aint rly worth the cost of it

Here's another place you can check out if you are interested in the 2 cycle oil.
The Mopar1973Man 2 Cycle Oil Page

I like the theoretical fuel milage improvement, and the lubricity it's supposed to add, but really notice the sound difrerence. Check this out:
2 Cycle Oil Noise Reduction

If we talk about it to much here, I'm afraid the moderator will move this thread to the addatives section. It's best to read up on it over there, or dig around in that other forum that I posted links to.

thank ya fer the info... think ill just stick to regular fuel haha... i get 22 mpg avg mixed drivin anyway so im not to worried about noise reduction or even "half a mpg"... i have stock sized tires, 4in turbo back exhaust, 6spd tranny, and a bully dog triple dog, and even on "crazy larry" if im easy on the ole right foot i'll still crank out 22 mpg... and as noted before if ya aint got one i'd def suggest a programmer that defuels and advances timing.. prior to my bullydog i got roughly 20.5 mpg... just my personal expierience...

I don't care what any manufacturer or parts personell reccomend there's no way I'm puttin anywhere close to 60k on my motor oil
