teflon tape

Default teflon tape

will teflon tape hold up to diesel fuel? if not what will? im going to be installing my new air dog pump this weekend and need something to use as a thread sealer.

nope,

there is a thread tape it's yellow made for propane lines. that may work

Don't use either. Use the paste. You definitely don't want some of the tape to make it's way into the injector pump.

What Cookie said...dont use tape. You can use jusst about any thread sealant.

Teflon paste or Permatex #2 are popular ones.

Just pipe dope ...........thats what we call it at work..............it is a paste and has teflon and other good crap in there......they make soft set and hard set............I like the soft set and have had better sealing luck with it

I'll have to find the can and let you know what I got. But I used it for my tap on the turbo gauge and I have no leaks at all there.
