Yes, I was....Interesting....thanks. BTW, the link is dead.

I think it all depends on what you buy....you would have to have the bulb awful close to the lense to melt it. I believe the HIDs bulbs actually run cooler and only use 35 watts....

The only way to do it right is to but one of the expensive kits....although I havent seen any myself.

Much as I'd like to upgrade I think I'll leave well enough alone...I'm a good wrench but wiring absolutely baffles me to the point of using a hammer to finish the installation of anything remotely involved with wiring.

Anyone suggesting it's easy...please remember...I still own that hammer!

Here is a link to the harness that I bought to put my sport lights in with. Putting the sport lights in will be the biggest improvement that you ever done. I could not beleive the difference it made on my truck.

Awesome tip - thank you for posting that...that is actually the harness I was looking at. Install looks pretty easy.

BTW, welcome to the site !! Nice first post.

just dont waste your money on the harness from LMC truck, I got there harness (39.00) installed it, and it lasted almost 30 miles before it shorted out and burnt out all my lights
