My girlfriend just bought her a 99 cummins and she is pretty into it and she has to do a speech in one of her communication classes on a topic of her choice. i mentioned she should do it on new aftermarket tech. for cummins trucks. just wonderin what was some new stuff out there. i know she is gonna have some stuff about programmers, exhaust systems, exhaust brakes but what else is there she can talk about for 8 minutes. thanks in advance.

 

I think aftermarket tech on diesels in general would be easier then just narrowing it down to one company, event though there is more then enough info on just Cummins to cover 8 minutes

even though i hate it all...talk about how clean diesels run now a days with all the DPF's and EGR systems in place. the more the word is spread about the new diesels that like BMW and VW produce the better. Change peoples mind about the diesels of old (i like those the best)

 

while i like the idea of talking about how clean diesels are, why not show how performance modifications can help your vehicle's performance? That is to say that a cold air intake gets cooler air into the motor and cooler air is better because of....
more boost=more air in the cylinders with=....
less exhaust restriction means faster release of engine gasses which=....
and all of this=better mileage which=less gas consumption! (might have to spell it out like that for the of the class)
