Default rear drive shaft

well saturday i was headed to tusla for the drag race, got half way there had a real bad vibration and the whole truck was shacking. it felt more like something in the front end, ended up being the rear u-joint, one of the end caps poped off, beat the **** out of the dirve shaft and it fell off when we tried to load the truck up.

it looks like it will be unuseable so i need at leats the back half of the shaft for a 99 dodge 2500 4x4 auto with the dhd transfer case, long wheel base quad cab. it is a 2 piece drive shaft. if u have one, my number is 870-405-5419 tia

You could probably get it fixed at a drive line repair shop for less than that. They can cut the bad yoke off and weld a new one and balance it for you. There is usually at least one drive line shop in larger cities.

I'd replace it with the new one-piece aluminum shaft they are putting in the new trucks. It'd be around $400, but you'll never have to worry about it again. The old 2-piece DS is a prone-to-failure kludge.
