When I got the Air Dog installed, we dropped the tank. It's nice having a second pair of hands when it's dropped, but that was a lot easier to do than pulling the bed.

ive done it both ways, if youre gonna pull the bed what i finally figured out that its easiest to loosen the bolts on the bed on the right side almost all the way loose and then remove the ones on the left side of the truck and jack the bed up enough to give you the needed room. like i said ive done it 5 times total, 3 times on my grandfathers 99 and 2 times on mine. pulling the bed aint that bad.

I dropped the tank on mine the first time. Still got the 1/4 tank issue and followed all kinds of directions. So I decided to get another draw straw and have this one in the fuel module itself. So the second time, I loosened the bolts on the passenger side, and removed the bolts from the drivers side. Used a bottle neck jack and some wood and tilted the bed far enough to do what I had to do. It seemed alot easier to me than dropping the tank. I say tilt the bed.

when you tilt the bed, watch out for the spare tire linkage as it may get caught
