Post 3rd gen owners... check your truck!

Check this out.. It seems to apply to mostly the 06 and up trucks, but I would check your truck if its a 3rd gen. This could save you a lot of headache time. It has to do with the starter wire rubbing on a bracket near the drivers side, close to the starter. I checked my 04.5 and there was no bracket, and it wasn't a problem. Check it out here:

No problem guys. It appears to be mostly an 06-present problem. Most people just tuck the wire into the loom and its all good.

This may be long after the original post, but thank you for the heads up. I will check this after work tomorrow.
This is a fine site, only problem is, I not getting much done around the house or at work...........oh, but I am not complaining!

Anyone have issues on the pre 06 trucks?

I will check my Dads tommorow.

There was a similar problem with the second gen V10s, but I caught mine before it got too bad.
