Default "Cheap" 13 sec Cummins

Hey guys,

I am new to the cummins but use to own a powerstroke so I know alittle about diesels.

Now to my question, I am looking to build a mid 13 sec cummins and have a few questions

Whats going to be mechanically/physically be the easiest motor to upgrade

Which motor (cummins) will be the cheapest to upgrade

Which motor will still get the best fuel mileage

I am talking about the cheapest $ overall, truck, tranny, chip, exhaust, etc

have a seat, steering wheel and gauges in the interior, nothing else.....cut every single solitary piece of useless metal off the truck then replace all the needed stuff with fiberglass (hood, fenders, bedsides), lower it, then built you a 600-700 horsepower engine......

A common rail can be made to run 13's and the flick of a wrist, just more expensive to purchase the truck.

Well I like the looks of the 03+ trucks, but then again you aren't going to find those for cheap. I also want it to be as stock looking as possible (aka full interior) and still be able to tow.
