Is there such thing as a good old solid Bullitproof T case these days? Just heavy cast iron rock crusher of a t case that will bolt up without divorcing the T case?

I've come to the conclusion that nothing is bulletproof around me.

Well lets hope third times a charm. Its all back together. No vibrations so far. Don't have the front shaft fixed though. Finally ground my frame rail too. I bought a new tranny mount but it hadn't shown up yet so I'll have to install it after everything is up there oh well.

Anyways here is the Fubared DC joint.

bolt a 271 out of a 3rd gen in it, make sure you find a manual tranny truck and get the rear driveshaft cause it comes with 1480 u-joints......the t-case is 100% bolt in with no mods......

That is a 271. And your right about the rear driveshaft. I just had my stock one shortened. But it was the front D shaft that killed it this time.

Unless of course your not talking to me in which case I'll shut up.

Was it just the case or did it damage the internals also?

thanks that makes me feel much better! I'll put it on my wall of Carnage (or shame).

And no it was just the case but I put new bearings in it since I had it apart.
